News round up!

As many of you may be aware already its that time of year again CES is happening as we speak in Las Vegas. Companies from all over the world are out on the show floor displaying their latest and greatest advances in technology.

This means that the big wigs from Sony and Microsoft are also about showing off what they have planned for the year.

I have taken it upon myself to round up any relevent gaming news to keep all you wonderful people upto date. (aren't i nice)

SONY:


'Crazy' Kaz Hirai has recently announced that the Playstation Network service will be expanding out to other Sony products. Allowing items such as films to be rented straight from compatable products VAIO's, Bravia's and internet capable blu ray players.
The idea is to create a single user ID and password which can control the vitrual PSN wallet universally across all of Sony's services.

MICROSOFT:
Xbox Game Room has been announced. What seems to be an attempt at creating something similar to Playstation Home but on a smaller scale.

Game Room is a place for Xbox avatars to meet up in a virtual arcade room and play classic retro games such as Millipede, Pacman and Space Hawk.

Project Natal has also been given a release window of 'holiday season 2010'. According to a press release we can expect to see Natal hitting the shelves at around xmas. As Natal is still the prototype name for the device keep an eye out at E3 this year for some interesting things from Microsoft.
